Set atop the serene heights of Nacka with panoramic views of Stockholm, this residence is a study in restrained elegance and material harmony.
Nacka Residence
Stockholm, Sweden
Designed by our team at Paul Badran Architects in collaboration with Kitchens by Paul, the home blends sculptural simplicity with functional sophistication across its living, dining, kitchen, and bathroom spaces.
At the core of the material palette are American walnut and Vancouver quartzite a combination that brings warmth, tactility, and a timeless architectural quality. The custom kitchen, designed and fabricated in our carpentry features integrated stone sinks, fluted walnut fronts, and seamless quartzite surfaces, crafted to feel monolithic yet refined.
Lighting is carefully curated in partnership with Occhio, whose minimalist pendant rings hover above the dining table like quiet sculptures. These are enhanced by a fully integrated Lutron smart home system, giving the client control over tunable lighting scenes throughout the day from bright daylight tones to intimate evening moods.
In the dining area, our studio-designed black-stained oak table and bench are paired with sculptural chairs, positioned against a backdrop of floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains that gently diffuse the natural light. The bathroom continues the same material story, clad entirely in Vancouver quartzite with a fully integrated sink, hidden cabinetry, and custom lighting details.
Every element of Nacka Residence from furniture and lighting to millwork and technology—has been thoughtfully designed and curated by our team to reflect a contemporary yet timeless way of living.
